The Maids are a wonderfully professional business. We own a boutique BnB near Apollo Bay and for some time I organised... everything myself - bookings, cleaning and linen, property maintenance. It worked, but it was an unpleasant, hugely time consuming process, with the main challenge being sure that cleaners would actually be available on any given day, and keeping track of the linen for replacement, and stocking it. I explored options for having the property completely outsourced with respect to management (cleaning, bookings, property maintenance), but the costs are very high - around 60% of gross earnings.After a detailed discussion with Donovan from The Maids, I engaged them for all cleaning and linen responsibilities and they haven't let me down once. I am happy to handle the bookings, and have complete trust that The Maids will be there to handle the cleaning, linen and consumables restocking, and they have done so, even when bookings changed at the last minute.The cost is a bit more than managing it completely yourself - I would guess 10-15% more than manually engaging cleaners on a casual basis? - but the relief of the stress of not knowing if a clean would happen or not, is in my opinion worth ten times that. And of course the cleaning is reliably very good, which is another headache solved. We also agreed that photos of the inside after each clean were a good thing as a reference point for the next booking (and any problems that might arise from the booking), so The Maids now do that, which is worth it's weight in gold as a host.Shortly we will open up our second BnB and we will use The Maids for that too.Couldn't recommend more.read more
